May 20, 2020 by Madalina Botez in  Organization

Following our belief that #LearningNeverStops, we continue our sequence of online conferences by organizing the 4th edition of CppEurope on 23rd of June.

As firm believers in continuous improvement, we are taking steps in overcoming the barriers that could restrict the learning process in this period. We plan to do this by going online and bringing you international speakers and top-notch practitioners in the comfort of your own office or home.

How is the 4th edition of CppEurope Conference special? You’ll have the chance to hear the latest talks of:

Nicolai Josuttis is well known in the C++ Community as the author of “The C++ Standard Library“, co-author of “C++ Templates – The Complete Guide“, an active member of the C++ Standardization Committee for over 20 years, designs large systems for the telecom, traffic, finance, and manufacturing industries.

Rainer Grimm – about 20 years as a software architect, team lead, and instructor, giving seminars about modern C++ and Python. He published several books in various languages to modern C++ and concurrency and likes to write articles about C++, Python, and Haskell.

Clare Macrae helps teams work sustainably and efficiently to test and refactor legacy and hard-to-test code. She worked in software development for over 30 years, and in C++ and Qt for 20 years.

Klaus Iglberger focuses on large-scale C++ software design, C++ trainer and consultant, currently working with Siemens in Germany, has a PhD in computer science. He is the initiator and lead designer of the Blaze C++ math library.

Alexandru Bolboaca – a polyglot programmer, software architect, CTO, senior trainer, has worked for almost 20 years in tech field, for various industries and book author, with Hands-On Functional Programming with C++, being his latest book.

Want to be part of this not-to-miss event? You are welcome to join our group of supporters and partners and bring innovation one step further. Just let us know and we can make it happen.

Let’s continue sharing knowledge by preserving the feeling of a community of peers who learn together, aiming to raise the bar by challenging oneself.

Curious to hear their latest talks? Join us on the 23rd of June at the 4th edition of CppEurope Conference.

What’s in it for me?

Sep 22, 2017

Our goal, as always when offering learning and growth opportunities, is to create a great learning environment for you. You should expect an intense day, featuring:

  • Practical talks from well known experts in C/C++
  • Talks from local C/C++ practitioners who share their own experiences. Maybe even yourself?
  • A dynamic panel discussion (fishbowl format) that will allow a free exchange of opinions inside the group
  • And, let’s not forget, a time for networking where you can share experience with your peers.

Ask the Speakers

Feb 18, 2020

Ask the speakers is a concept meant to break the barriers of classical learning sessions. It’s a moment when participants can have a direct conversation with the speakers of their choice, asking the questions they have, without the pressure of speaking up in front of the whole audience.

Why we’re organizing CppEurope

Sep 22, 2017

Let me introduce myself. I’m Alex, CTO and senior trainer at Mozaic Works.

I learned C/C++ in college. I immediately loved the language. It wasn’t easy to learn, but the challenge was enjoyable. My first professional C++ project was in 2001. I was a programmer fresh out of college, passionate but with little knowledge about changeable design. By the end of the project, I realized my mistakes and decided to learn more.

Fortunately, my second C/C++ project was very different. I had a mentor who taught me how to write unit tests, how to design software, and how to write better C/C++ code – both cleaner and with better performance.
